The Wood Pigeon resembles the common pigeon, the only difference is that it has a longer tail than an usual pigeon. It has a whitish head and there is a criss-cross pattern on the neck of the bird. The Wood pigeon has a gray appearance: the anterior parts of the bird is slate gray in color, where as the posterior part emits a pale blue gray color.
